Vigilantes catch and detain man allegedly producing child abuse material at caravan park

Police have charged a man with producing child abuse material after he was caught allegedly secretly filming children at a caravan park on the NSW South Coast last month.

Police were called to the holiday park in Lake Conjola on December 28 after the man was caught and detained by members of the public.

The 43-year-old was allegedly disguising his camera and photographing young girls. Police seized his camera and phone and the man accompanied the officers to Ulladulla Police Station for questioning. He was then released pending further investigation.

Police today executed a search warrant of the man’s home in Milton in NSW. They seized “several” electronic devices and arrested the man at his home.

The man has been charged with two counts of the aggravated filming of a person’s private parts without consent and producing child abuse material.

He was granted bail and will appear in Milton Local Court on February 14.
